About Us - Our Story

A not-for-profit coaching provider improving social mobility and creating a fairer society.

Despite the progress made, the UK still has one of the poorest rates of social mobility. Household income is the biggest determiner of life prospects, such as educational outcomes, health, employment rates and experience of crime.

While University is not for everyone, studying at a university level has a significant impact on an individual’s employment and earning potential. Research shows that working-age graduates earn on average £10,000 more than non-graduates and had higher employment rates.

Students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds experience significant inequality of opportunity in accessing and succeeding in higher education. While some steps have been taken across the UK to address the barriers these students face, more still needs to be done.

This is what drove us to set up Inclusive Futures

Inclusive Futures was established by Jess Woodsford and Rose Sellman-Leava in 2020. We are professional coaches with a passion for tackling inequality and significant prior experience supporting professionals within the Higher Education sector and beyond.

Since 2020, we have worked with over 30 Education providers, supported over 4,000 students and helped our partner organisations, and the teams within them, to build thriving cultures.

As a not-for-profit organisation, all income is reinvested back into the organisation to achieve this mission.

We are open, honest and authentic in the way we engage with others. Whether that is a CEO or a 16yr old student. We conduct ourselves with the utmost integrity, and instill integrity in others. All our coaches abide by the ICF Code of Ethics.
