What it means for us to be a Community Interest Company
Inclusive Futures is a Community Interest Company (CIC) which is also a type of social enterprise. Our primary purpose is to provide benefits to the community that we serve.
When we work with individuals, teams and organisations, the investment they make into their employees’ development allows us to invest in young people; the employees of the future. This is demonstrated in our Community Interest Statement, which can be found on the Companies House website but which we also wanted to share some of here.
In this way, Inclusive Futures will help to ‘level the playing field’ for disadvantaged students.
There are numerous other benefits that students and Higher Education providers will realise from working with Inclusive Futures:
Our Community Interest Statement
We use coaching as a tool to help individuals develop their metacogtnition, self-awareness, motivation and confidence. By providing coaching to students from underrepresented groups, within the higher education setting, Inclusive Futures supports students to:
Any surplus profits we make...
Will be invested back into our community fund. This fund will pay for coaching sessions, workshops and support for students from school age through to Higher Education, that experience inequality of opportunity and who would not be able to access this support otherwise.
We are members of the Natwest Entrepreneur Accelerator, the School for Social Entrepreneurs, PwCs Social Entrepreneur Club and the UWE Digital Skills Workforce for the Future. These support schemes encourage us to operate effectively within our values and give us many opportunities to develop as a CIC and social enterprise. This means we aare always increasing our effectiveness and therefore our community contribution.
When you partner with us, you will feature in our annual impact report. This report outlines how your investment has been paid forward and reinvested in a young person’s future.
