Jess Woodsford

Director and Co-founder

I am an experienced coach, facilitator, and trainer. As a personal leadership and executive coach, I support clients to find direction and clarity, provide accountability as well as exploring the blocks and challenges that are holding you back. I use a combination of different tools and techniques to support my clients. These include tools and concepts from personal performance coaching, corporate and executive coaching, leadership concepts, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and transactional analysis.
I have worked in the higher education sector for the past 13 years, focused around equality of opportunity, with a wide variety of different HE providers. Before training as a professional coach, I worked as the Head of Programmes at the Office for Fair Access, before moving to the Office for Students. I also spent some time as Director of SEER (Specialist Evidence, Evaluation and Research) service, supporting small, specialist and newly-registered HE providers to understand and evidence their impact in relation to fair access and participation.
As well as working with students, in my coaching practice I work with Directors, senior leadership teams, and aspiring leaders to explore the type of leaders they want to be, and to take steps to put this into practice. I also work with social entrepreneurs to develop and grow themselves, as well as their ideas. I also LOVE facilitating team away days, strategy days and workshops, especially if I can involve some LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®.

Rose Sellman-Leava

Director and Co-founder

I’ve been supporting students & professionals through coaching since 2018 and working in the Further and Higher Education sectors since 2015. With Diplomas in Personal Performance Coaching and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), I pride myself on bringing energy, empathy, friendliness and a passion for strategic thinking to the individuals and teams that I work with. My coaching approach helps those I work with to truly understand and connect with their potential as well as feel more comfortable and confident in their abilities.
My passion for enabling young people from underrepresented backgrounds began whilst working in Devon County Council’s Social Care team in 2014. I’ve supported young people with experience of the care system and seen the difficulty that they have faced when accessing, transitioning and staying in higher education. My subsequent 7 years of working at Jisc, the UK’s National Reasearch Education Network have also informed my understanding of the challenges faced by professionals within the education sector, giving me a valuable strategic view of where professional teams can increase their impact and create thriving cultures.
I work with some hugely inspiring and talented teams, professionals and students across the education and private sectors. As well as coaching, I also facilitate team away-days, deliver coaching training and deliver outreach activities to school-age children. Each of these activities helps me to raise awareness and increase the impact that individuals make at every level. I love what I do and feel so lucky to support people at all stages of their journey in figuring out who they are and how they can positively impact the world.
