Coaching Supervision

Coaching is deeply relational. It involves emotional labour, ethical judgement, and navigating complexity — often without a clear place to process what you are holding. Supervision exists because reflective practice matters.

The Association of Coaching describes coaching supervision as a “formal and protected time” for in-depth reflection within a confidential, collaborative relationship, intended to build ethical competency, confidence and creativity.

Supervision is a structured, confidential, reflective space where coaches can step back from their day-to-day work and explore what is happening in their practice, relationships, and wider systems.

It is not about being assessed, fixed, or told what to do.

And it’s not performance management, mentoring, or therapy.

Instead, supervision provides a space to:

  • Reflect on your work with your students or peers
  • Explore the emotional and relational impact of coaching others
  • Notice patterns, assumptions, and blind spots
  • Think ethically and systemically about complex situations
  • Strengthen confidence, clarity, and judgement

  • Any Managers, or leaders who feel they need to slow down and think clearly — away from urgency, problem-solving, or performance pressure. Many people say this is the only space where they are not expected to “have the answer”.
