You don’t need a business idea or any experience…  just curiosity, an open mind and the willingness to explore what’s possible.  

What is YEP Online?

The Young Entrepreneurs Programme (YEP) is a series of free workshops, to help you develop the mindset and ideas of an “entrepreneur”.

YEP Online is a free, flexible, self-paced programme designed for young people aged 18–25 in Bristol who want to understand entrepreneurship in a way that feels accessible, inspiring and achievable.

Young people aged 18–25 in Bristol who are:

 You can be studying, working, job-seeking, or somewhere in between.

📘 What You’ll Learn : 

Module 1 – What Is Entrepreneurship? 

Break down what entrepreneurship really means. You’ll explore different types of entrepreneurs, debunk myths, understand the entrepreneurial mindset and reflect on your own strengths and lived experiences.  
By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of how entrepreneurship might fit into your life.  

Module 2 – Making Money 

Discover the practical ways people turn ideas, hobbies and strengths into income.  
You’ll explore simple revenue models, real examples of how young people get started, and how your own interests could connect to opportunities.  
This module builds confidence that you already have something valuable, you just need to see it.  

Module 3 – Fundamentals of Finance 

Learn the essential basics of money in business, explained clearly and without jargon. You’ll consider how successful entrepreneurs manage risks and build an understanding of the fundamentals of finance that underpin business.  This module equips you with practical tools so you can make informed decisions and avoid common mistakes.  

Module 4 – Vision, Mission & Action Planning 

Bring everything together with clarity and purpose.  
You’ll explore what matters to you, how to articulate your vision, who you might want to serve, and how to plan realistic next steps.  
You’ll leave with a simple, personalised plan you can build on — whether you want to start something now or later.

About the funding

This project is an extension of the full YEP programme, delivered in September 2025, as a set of in-person workshops, thanks to funding from BrisBES. Read more below.

Community Connector Grants are part of the Bristol Business Enterprise Support project (BrisBES), funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund through Bristol City Council and the West of England Combined Authority, and delivered by YTKO. Building on nearly ten years of partnership, the scheme works with community groups and ambassadors to connect underrepresented entrepreneurs and SMEs in Bristol with fully funded business support.
